Your role

Do you have a track record of successfully managing client relationships? Are you able to create collaborative solutions in challenging and complex situations? Do you have the knowledge and experience to drive the business development of our China client base?

We're looking for a client relationship manager to:

• Serve as UBS AM’s lead governance, business collaboration, communication and engagement specialist for the joint venture.
• Responsible for day-to-day communications, as well as develop and maintain strong relationships across all the business and functions at all levels within JV and with shareholder partnership.
• Lead various governance and control initiatives in partnership with finance, legal, compliance and risk functions; champion the communication and negotiation between JV and UBS AM.
• Lead the internal review and approval of the JV's BoD / BoS meeting resolutions (bi-monthly frequency); lead internal monthly JV governance meetings, facilitate in-depth communications and Q&A between JV and various internal functions in order to ensure best practice of governance and controls are adopted.
• Responsible to drive onshore and cross border business development by proactively identifying cross-sell opportunities in line with the UBS´s strategies and actively engage and drive product discussion with JV respective teams.
• Provide value-added service and support including global CIO and investment view exchanges.
• Work in close partnership with UBS AM product, investment and client coverage teams.
• Work closely with other division/businesses such as Global Markets and Global Wealth Management to help push forward initiatives wholistically.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from JV and UBS.

Your team

You'll be working in the UBS Asset Management team in Beijing.

Your expertise

• Ideally 10+ years of experience in asset management or related fields. First-hand, practical experience in serving institutional clients preferred
• Be able to take sales and client facing role covering onshore China institutional clients and markets, either buy-side or sell-side with existing contacts and network in the market
• Good understanding of investment products and process
• Strong understanding of the local regulatory environment
• Team player with strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Chartered Financial Analyst designation or progress towards advantageous
• Native Mandarin required and excellent command of English
