Trade Compliance Specialist (Chemicals)(006455)

Do you want to actively shape a growing subject area and make safety, health, environmental integrity, and human rights tangible in BASF’s business processes? Support the Global Trade Compliance unit as Specialist Trade Compliance | Chemicals as soon as possible.

• You are responsible for the coordination and global implementation of trade restrictions within your scope.
• You will diligently monitor the relevant legal requirements and analyze their impact on the BASF Group
• Together with your colleagues around the world you will develop strategies, concepts and IT processes for the practical implementation of these requirements.
• You will contribute to the further development of the Global Trade SAP Service Tool (GTS)
• In addition, you will lead a specialist community, provide training and moderate the exchange of best practices
• You represent your topics in internal and external committees, and you are BASF's point of contact with the relevant competent authorities

Job Requirements:
• Degree in a natural sciences program (chemistry, biology, or similar) or a closely related engineering discipline is a must
• 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of foreign trade or product compliance / chemical regulations, preferably in a chemical company
• Analytical and conceptual strength – able to read and interpret regulation and conceptualize them into requirements; clear and concise communication; high problem-solving skills
• Team player with a cooperative working style; “Can-do” attitude
• Business fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
